Lots of good pattern work learning how to fly Penny from the right seat. Gosh, this seems harder than it did in BlueBird! I don't suppose still being new to the plane has anything to do with it, right?
To tell the truth, Andy was actually pretty happy with it all, and so was I; they were definitely serviceable landings, even though I couldn't get the plane trimmed worth a darn. Just for fun, though, after the first two he called a go-around on me -- and, sure enough, I went all floppy and took too long to push and then didn't control pitch and ... :-)
We only had time for a short lesson because he was due over at KRYY for the next one, though. Darn! But, again, this really is about me getting current and becoming an effective safety pilot again rather than getting lots of flying time, so I don't mind; when it's my turn for instrument and commercial, baby, I'm gonna rack it up!
