Half a dozen nice takeoffs and landings. Still have to keep working on throttle := altitude but I'm getting better at it :-)
Went out for steep turns, too. Not terribly bad altitude & bank maintenance, but not as controlled as it should be. Then practiced some idle-speed gliding back toward the airport; I think we got about 600fpm and want to practice some more.
Then, while I'm on downwind on my last pattern, this rude asshole in a Skylane cuts in front of me at midfield! I didn't get his tail number, or I could have pointed him to pages 9 & 10 of http://aopa.org/asf/publications/sa08.pdf where it says "This technique should not be used if the pattern is busy. Give way to aircraft on the preferred 45-degree entry and to aircraft already established on downwind." and to 14 CFR 91.113(d), both of which clearly explain the right of way rules. Ah, well... Better to forgive and forget, right? And maybe he'll read this one day anyway :-)
