Leg Notes:
Lots of float, although that beats too much sink. Yanek reports my tendency to push down rather than throttle back. Laura reports 3-point landings instead of flares.
My first takeoff was nice and smooth -- but I forgot to set the GPS since I hadn't planned on flying and was hurried into the plane. Ah, well... Then I set up for a landing but did a buzz to feel how she floats. I found that these flaps seriously make a difference -- especially when they go away! Remember to retract slowly. Then, on my next turn around, I switched to 5 for my landing because of incoming traffic.
Having landed on 5 after the incoming folks, I was going to take off on 23 again, but there was this fellow sitting down at the 5 end waiting to take off -- and not talking! Called him a few times but ended up taxiing down to 5 to go; ugh. And he was off before I was even down there; interesting. For my second landing I was still high and fast; I can probably make my patterns wider as well as SLOW DOWN.
Finally alone again, so I turned around at the end of my landing on 5 and took off from 23. This one was quick; I'm sure I was off within 1400ft, and maybe sooner. Landing was high and fast again, but very smooth; I'll take it.
