Leg Notes:
It was a lovely sunset flight, but the clouds were right in the 5k-6k range, so I had to spend the time to go to 7500. Ah, well. Had trouble being found by ATC, too, until I finally got handed off to Chattanooga and they picked me up before too long. Then it was just a challenge of going as fast as possible to beat the darkness!
BTW, we were able to confirm that level flight according to the attitude indicator and no turns according to the DG definitely does not look level or coordinated on the turn coordinator. Hmmm... Mebbe I need to talk to AvWest about that.
Anyway, it was an enjoyably uneventful flight and we made it before dark although not before sunset (so much for my grand plan of leaving on time, ei?). Had the chance to think about it at 20mi out and so I trimmed in about 600fpm down and that put me right in the neighborhood at the right altitude to either go over or drop into the pattern; woo hoo! I love a good plan like that :-) It was suddenly crowded, too; it looks like everyone wanted to get in before dark! Once I was sure the chopper was out of the way, though, I just dropped into line and landed -- like "usual" again, too ;-)
