XXX Flight: 2010-0423-1 in N37148 (BlueBird) for $
KCNI - KJZP - KCNI (flying time 0:36)
Flight Notes:
We popped out to get some gas after Laura did some pattern work. It wasn't a long flight, but it was fun! We've been practicing leaning and this time I got it waaaaay back; VERY cool. (David Thorburn-Gundlach)

Leg Notes:
A very uneventful run over and I suddenly found myself right at the airport! I turned right out of 47A and figured I'd go North until I picked up the highway and then bear off to the West until I came to the airport ... but I never made it to the highway :-) That left me set up for right traffic here, too, so I just did so. Leg Notes:
Wanted to fly around the Witch's Hat peak on the way home after having skipped it to get gas on the way in, but we were out of time :-( Instead we flew 'I Follow Roads' over 575. For going 100 or so it sure didn't feel very fast; I guess I need to try the same in a Mooney or a Midget Mustang :-) Someone was working at 47A and was now using 4 instead of 22, so once again I set up for right traffic. I tried an engine-out approach but turned too soon == was too high and so I had to go around. In a real emergency I would have tried even a quick 360 (too high and close for a slip, even, I think) right at the end, but it wasn't a real emergency and wasn't THAT important. But we both need to remember to practice right as well as left! (David Thorburn-Gundlach)
