David Thorburn-Gundlach (pilot-L) / Laura Thorburn-Gundlach (copilot) /
Leg Notes:
We were scheduled to go up for another Laura training flight, but after banging around yesterday and generally not getting settled into the right seat, this air was just too rough. Suddenly finding myself still with a plane, I headed over to Gainesville for some sightseeing to give Laura a chance to relax for the ride, see the lake, and try again in calmer air.
While dinking around over the South end of the lake, I overheard a smoke patrol plane reporting around. Hmmm... How does one get that job? We chatted and I left my number; perhaps I'll get more info!

David Thorburn-Gundlach (pilot-L) / Laura Thorburn-Gundlach (copilot) /
Leg Notes:
Hmmm... Actually, this is a case where 'no' means no, I guess; she definitely didn't want any time today. I gotta get her some right-seat training and smooth out these last few rough edges :-(
Flew by Sawnee Lane on the way over to review the property. I sure would like to see the front yard smoother and prettier, but at least we don't have any erosion issues; yay.

Leg Notes:
Now I'm solo up to KJZP to drop her off. Waited around for Laura to get on the highway, and then went hunting, and then found her ahead so I dove and got to really get moving to catch up to her :-) :-) :-) A bit more diddling around, more up the highway, and another yummy landing. Good night, Penny! (David Thorburn-Gundlach)
