Leg Notes:
We first headed North to gawk at the huge houses on Sea Island. I saw this one amazing place -- more like a complex than a house -- between E 25th and E 26th that was so compelling that I had to take a turn around it on the way back down. I still don't know what those ramps or rails are; I thought at first that it was a high dive platform for the pool, but it has a similar extension (or is it two?) going out the other side toward the road. I'm baffled!
From there, we continued down the St Simons shore before hopping over to the Jekyll shore and setting up for a downwind entry rather than a straigh-in approach. That gave us a chance to survey the island a bit, though, as well; we noticed a water park and might want to check that out.
After greasing in a nice one, we left Penny in the capable hands of the very friendly FBO and enjoyed a Red Bug Electric Car for the day. Wow!

Leg Notes:
One delightful meal -- so much for just getting a lemonade! -- and enjoyable toodle through the historic district, around the hotels, past the stables and horse corral (with a stop to chat with the wrangler and her very interesting toy Australian Shepherd), and past the bookstore later, it was time to head out. It was after closing time, and as expected we found the FBO with a 'Closed' sign on the door, but apparently they didn't care to extend it all the way to locking the building :-) We were able to drop the key at the desk and then we sat around a bit checking the weather and discussing whether or not to hop back.
In the end, the low clouds and light rain were offshore and staying there, so we popped up and over for the quick ride home with no problems.
My landing was another nice one, but Laura noted that I need to point down more before flaring right at the ground instead of settling in flat as I tend t do. Hmmm... Gonna have to chew on that.
