Leg Notes:
'Holy crappy landings, Batman!' :-(
Well, not exactly crappy, but certainly lousy approaches and not my best landings. What's up?!? I kept flaring early and landing flat, managed to lose track of airspeed once and drop to a bounce, and was simply all over the place -- definitely ready for a go-around while wrangling it, but I probably *should* have aborted it and tried again -- on the third landing in definitely-not-bad conditions. Worst, that last one left Laura very shaken -- and, worse, right before her practice ride.
We're going to blame this one on 'chewing gum cockiness', but that doesn't make sense to me. There was also one guy nearby and I was checking in with him for sequencing just as I was coming to the numbers, but it honestly didn't feel like I was throwing away the approach. But why, then? I have done better recently in both better and worse air. Whatever it is, though, I'm gonna have to get ahead of it and figure out what's up.
I know that some of it is inconsistency due to lack of practice. I'm going to try to set up some practice time to focus on landings soon -- or Laura may not let me fly to Boston next week!
